The idea took shape in 2016, but it began a long time ago, when the Captain, Fabio Rum, was fascinated by listening to his grandfather who taught him the respect and passion for the sea.
He was a direct descendant of a family of “Master Carpenters”, who fully lived the sea, both sailing it and teaching seamanship of building wooden boats, and by teaching at the schools of the Navy non-commissioned officers of the CEMM. (Corps of Naval Crews).
Fabio, mostly influenced by his grandfather, fell in love with the sea and decided to register for the Nautical Institute where he graduated as Ship Engineer / Motorist.
As soon as he turned 20 he left for his first on-board job: from now on his life and the sea became one.
But, as time goes by, the engine room was no longer enough for him: he was interested in on-board instrumentation, pricking and seamanship. At this point he had decided: he wanted to get on the pilot bridge, he wanted to steer.
